He permitted no one to do them wrong; Yes, He rebuked kings for their sakes, saying, "Do not touch My anointed ones, and do my prophets no harm." Psalm 105:14,15 Imagine, God will even rebuke kings for our sakes. He will NOT let anyone touch us or do us harm, all the days of our lives. Even when we are a minority and a stranger where we are (vs 12,13), Daddy will watch over us and keep us safe, bless us, guide us, lead us. We are His anointed ones. Cos We are in Christ, and Christ means 'Anointed'. God will not allow anyone to touch us!! :) |

Beauty for ashes! Been chewing on that for the past few days. And when I checked up the meaning of ashes just now, I found that there are 2 meanings. The first is the literal meaning of ashes. The second is the figurative meaning - worthlessness.. WOW. Jesus came to give me BEAUTY for my WORTHLESSNESS.
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:8
It's while I was worthless, that Jesus died for me. Seriously, there's really no worth in me to die for. Yet Jesus saw the worth. He rather die for me than to spend eternity without me. And through His death, He GAVE ME BEAUTY for my WORTHLESSNESS. Jesus is the One Who said, 'Neither do I condemn Joan...' Jesus is the One who bought me and clothed me with His dignified, glorious robes of righteousness, Who MADE and PROCLAIMED me His lovely, beautiful princess. :)
Praise Jesus. There is NO Man, NO ONE like Jesus. There is no love like that which He SOO freely gives and SOO freely embraces us with. How sweet is that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

OH yes!! It's 7th July!!!!
A date SO special to the gals who have played such a big part in my life..... the RGSSB!!! :)

To my batchmates: remember how we used to say we'd meet up at a certain place every Seventh Night of July? Seems we haven't really kept to it. Haha...
Ok I shouldn't be too sentimental.. but I just wanna pay a short tribute to this VERY special group of gals. I really really thank God for that shared journey in the RGS band. A journey so special and precious that even after 5 years of leaving the band, the memories still tug at my heart.
Spending hours just practising really hard together, doing stupid things, rolling around the band room (tumble tots!), getting scolded, scolding pple, crying together ever so often, praying together, sharing together, running around the hall, whacking the hall piano, tasting funny mushroom soup, having hours of footdrill in the sun, waving at seniors in the corridoor, squeezing more than 10 pple into a tiny table, pressing for the gold together, performing together, learning together, loving each other... It was like a big loving family, and everyday after school, we'd just rush down to the band room.. There'll always be pple there practising, talking, hanging around... Practising was never a chore, but something that we all loved to do together... Making music together... From the recruit band pieces with like 2 notes a bar in sec 1 to those incredibly nice music later on in our band lives. Growing in that together just makes it all the more lovely and irreplaceable... I'm not really doing justice to all that we went thru together.. cos words just can't do justice. :)
Really such such beautiful memories.. Thank you everyone for being SO precious and for being such blessings to me. I never deserved such a beautiful journey. All God's gift to me. Thanks all of you.. Love you all SO much! :)

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has MADE me FREE from the law of sin and death.

For those who are in Christ, NOTHING we do can ever warrant death ever!!!! We are set free from the law that every sin we commit brings death. For we are in the law of the Spirit of LIFE in Him. He fulfilled the RIGHTEOUS REQUIREMENT of the law IN us. That ALL the GOOD we don't deserve is attracted to us, and ALL the BAD that we were supposed to deserve fell upon Jesus on the cross! What grace..
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:8
What is there left for man to boast or say? It is God Who LOVED us. And demonstrated it toward us. Who FIRST gave. In this is love.. not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be the propitiation - sacrifice... for our sins!!
Thank You Lord for Your love and grace..
But for Your grace I would not be saved
But for Your grace I would go my way
I'm forever grateful that You have been faithful (at all times, even when I'm not)
And for Your amazing grace

I'm EXTREMELY happy now eating my Ben & Jerry's ice cream.. it's Strawberry Cheesecake ice cream with a thick graham craker swirl... WOAH.. shoik! it's about the only ice cream that I am unable to put down after the first mouth. It's actually my brother's.. and I'm finishing it!! haha.. woopz.. help! can't stop eating it!! :)  here it is! and woopz I just finished it!! hmm been a while since I updated my journal. Too lazy after exams were over. Feels like there's many things I wanna do, but can't decide which ones to do first.. :) Anywayz, was reading the Bible this morning, and this is what spoke to me. 'Now Solomon the son of David was strengthened in his kingdom, and the LORD his God was with him and EXALTED him exceedingly.' 2 Chronicles 1:1 A few days ago I read this: 'And the LORD said to Joshua, "This day I will begin to EXALT you in the sight of all Israel, that they may know that, as I was with Moses, so I will be with you.' Joshua 3:7 In the hebrew, the word for 'exalt' is to grow, become great or important, promote, make powerful, praise, magnify, do great things. Because the Lord is with you, He causes you to reign and be exalted exceedingly. You reign in your kingdom (studies, work, personal life etc... all that God has placed in your life and placed you in). It is obvious that the Lord is with you, and that He is the one strengthening you in your kingdom, exalting you and giving you great success.. :) Read this while I was on the way home in the bus.. From Reinhard Bonnke's book - Mighty Manifestations.. 'Jesus baptises with fire, it does not bring destruction, or judgement, but a blaze of love' Love that quote! The reason and motive behind everything in the kingdom of God is love... His immense and inexhaustible love for everyone of us.. |
